As promised, an example of THE LATE SHOW advertising in TV Guide. Here we have a full page ad for the film APPOINTMENT WITH DANGER making it's "New York TV Debut" on THE LATE SHOW from 1/10/70.
From what I could tell, 1968 was the last year that TV Guide put "NY TV Debut" in their own listings of films with that distinction. So the only way one could tell is from ads like this.
Basically a regular guy who happens to love the TV he was exposed to as a kid growing up in the NY Metro area during the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. Just my little way of celebrating and remembering those times with the hope that these movie showcase programs get the respect and attention they deserve.
